We travelled out to Nicholas Park to play Ballyduff on Saturday morning on two great grass pitches. We worked very hard in training for the last two weeks on our first touch and lifting our heads to find another player in a green and white jersey. All the coaches were thrilled with the way all the players showed how much they have learned and more importantly the way they are listening and learning in training. The goals we scored in both games were top quality and all for different reasons, some great passing moves, wonderful dribbling and top class shooting. The three goalkeepers on display showed how training is now paying off as all made some great saves and were composed with the ball at their feet. Ballyduff really did put it up to us and came out strong in the second half but our lads defended well most of the time. Set pieces now need to be worked on in training as these players continue to progress in their football skills. Best for Villa were Sipho Anderson Dube, Jude White, Matthew Sweeney, Alex Deevy, Louis Corcoan & Adam Freyne.
